The SpeedGamers Mario Marathon

TSG.TV – Fort Worth, Texas

It was an event like no other in December, 2017. The SpeedGamers team once again prevailed and raised valuable funds for ACT Today families during their Mario Marathon. Through all of the technical issues, internet issues, and PayPal outages, TSG experienced tremendous fun playing through the Mario franchise and celebrating the holidays with the TSG Community. This was not the first event in which TSG has partnered with ACT Today. Since their humble beginning in 2008, TSG and ACT Today have collaborated for 7 events raising more than $216,000 for their efforts. “Video games are such the rage and when combined with a fundraising component which assists those in need, the outcome is very powerful”, said Paul Rycus, Programs and Operations Manager at ACT Today. “It’s like nothing we’ve ever seen before. Viewers from all over the globe participated and donated 24 hours a day. I am such a fan.”

About The SpeedGamers
TSG, or The SpeedGamers, was founded in 2008 in the Dallas-Fort Worth area of Texas by Britt LaRiviere. Britt and a few of his friends decided to have a weekend of gaming for fun when the idea formed to stream it live on the internet. Soon after, another idea was formed. Since the first marathon in March 2008, TSG has expanded to include members from around the world, and it has gone on to do multiple marathons for a myriad of charities and causes totalling more than $700,000.
