Wyatt's Run
World renowned ultra marathoner, Shannon Farar-Griefer ran almost 100 miles during a 24-hour trek through Hidden Hills, California, all to benefit ACT Today! Shannon’s friend and ACT Today! Executive Director Nancy Alspaugh-Jackson and her husband, Read Jackson, of Fox Sport Net, are the parents of Wyatt, a six year old boy with autism, who is recovering thanks to treatment and early intervention. Shannon, along with many other runners, were inspired by Wyatt's progress and wanted to do something to help bring attention to the plight of other families.
Shannon’s fellow runners included Tom Bergeron (Dancing with the Stars) and Jorge Pacheco (fastest 100 mile runner in country), members of the Hidden Hills Trail Runners, Round Meadow elementary students and other community members. Pledges and sponsorships helped to raise $10,000 for ACT.
